Mark Matos is available for private and public musical happenings in the American Southwest and beyond with his new project, Mark Matos & his Magic Machine. Inspired by late-1980’s Leonard Cohen, Tom Waits, the music of Twin Peaks, and Bob Dylan’s later work, Matos blends these ingredients into his own highly compelling brew of jazzy noir, avant-garde rock & roll, electronic experimentation and deep-fried American Gothic; invoking a “cocktail lounge at the end of the world” atmosphere, sprinkled with dark humor, and loaded with sublime lyrical turns.
